Shortest Morse Code Callsigns? What? The idea here is to have as close to a short ideal callsign
as possible. So in a fantasy world EEEE would be a great callsign because its morse is keyed ". . . ."
while ZZZZ would not be as good since it would be "--.. --.. --.. --.." thus adding time to
your contest QSOs.
You can get a list of available callsigns in your license class sorted by the shortest call signs by morse
code duration (total dits/dahs) as well as the shortest by overall length. You can also search just callsigns
within your own class or get them from all that are available to you. Our lists are also filtered against the
FCC Call Sign Availability rules so the vast majority of them are to the best of our knowledge legal, usable callsigns.
For more useful info, have a look at the great N4MC site,
it's a little harder to use than our lists but it may be useful to you as well in your search for the perfect callsign.
Note that we run our search algorithm against the weekly data made available by the FCC.
If a service is offering "live querying" for callsign data it means they are flooding the ULS
live search with data mining requests for their own profit. We think that cumulatively that
sort of behavior will slow the whole system down for everyone, and that's
just not good citizenship.
It is possible that some of the callsigns we provide you are taken by the time your application
gets through. Be aware that this is a risk even though we refresh the data every Sunday when
new information becomes available through legitimate channels. To be sure you are satisfied however if you find 10% or
more of the callsigns in the list we provide unusable we will give you a full refund or
send you the correct list if you just got the wrong one.
Please select the list you wish to obtain below. You will then be forwarded to Paypal
to complete the transaction. To cover the costs in developing this
service we charge a modest fee of US$4.99 and the results will be
presented for download immediately after payment.
